The Indian law has been enacted to provide a safe working environment for women at work place. It is also known as POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment). A woman should be able to work with dignity be it at her home or workplace. The Act provides protection against sexual harassment and also safeguards against victimisation of any woman for raising a complaint about sexual harassment at the workplace.

Any organization having 10 or more employees needs to comply with the abovementioned Act and prepare an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) under this Act.
